A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME
Getting in shape is not meant to be a torturous endeavour. There may be a sore muscle or two along the way, but I believe getting fit should have meaning and purpose. Often there is a catalyst or a life changing event that triggers the change in our lifestyle.
For me, my serious passion for fitness didn't really start until my mid thirties when a family member developed dementia, a debilitating illness. Doctor's diagnosis was 'treatable' not 'curable'.
I started running so I could manage my emotions that came with this news, to stay strong and support my family during the difficult times. Quickly, I saw how the pressures of life could easily be handled with a rational attitude by having exercise as my daily cleanse.
That's my plan, Fit Tribe Oz has been formed to instil good habits of exercise and functional movement for my family and those around me. Becoming a Personal Trainer and Online Endurance Coach only cements this passion.
